The MM-A940 is as cutting-edge as multimedia phones get with a two-megapixel camera with a 2X optical zoom, and support for Sprint's TV, Music Store, and Power Vision services. Buying tracks is straightforward, click on the Music icon, which takes you to a site that breaks down the options by 24 genres, as well as What's Hot and New Releases.

A couple of caveats: Sprint Music Store songs cost $2.50 each, and they're available in AAC+ format. That takes up about a third less space than WMA, so you can fit about 32 songs on the included 32MB MicroSD card, or 1,000 on an optional 1GB card. The MM-A940 lists for $399, but recent promos have cut it to $219 with a two-year contract. That's a small trade-off, considering that the MM-A940's advanced features make it unlikely that you'll be looking to upgrade anytime soon.
