Dell 2400MP

Dell has established a reputation for user-friendly projectors, and the 5.5-pound 2400MP continues that trend. The unit comes with every cable you could need, as well as a convenient carrying case. The remote allows you to page through PowerPoints with ease, and it's really friendly for mouse usage. The menu system was very impressive compared to some of the others in this round-up, even if the controls via the remote aren't perfect.

The 2400MP's video performance was the best of the round-up, with excellent color and brightness that makes this projector worthy of your DVD collection. With a whopping 2493 lumens, the Dell 2400MP placed first in our brightness tests and second in out contrast comparison, which was backed up by its solid video performance. The audio quality is decent and could fill a small conference room.

We noticed a bit of a brightness hike in the upper right corner as well as a small circular anomaly, but nothing too distracting. A rainbow effect is more noticeable on this unit than any other we tested, but if you're not sensitive to it, you won't have a problem. The only real complaint we have is the slow two-minute cool-down time.

With its great features, excellent picture, and incredibly low price, Dell has once again produced a winning projector.
