Three years ago, Mozilla's Firefox Web browser jumped into the browser tournament, proving it could go toe to toe with Microsoft's Internet Explorer and win plenty of converts. Last April, Firefox held about 15 percent of the browser market, second to IE's 78 percent. We are convinced, though, that if everyone knew what Firefox could really do, those numbers would be reversed. Sure, it looks like a normal Web browser on the surface, and features like tabbed browsing work well out of the box, but add-ons can help you realize Firefox' full potential.

An add-on is a small piece of software that bring new features or tiny tweaks to your browser. Firefox offers hundreds of these extensions, from foreign-language dictionaries and weather-forecast icons to helpful bookmarking tools and more.
