Many Skype fans have been waiting a long time for a truly mobile solution that doesn't require a PC. The first two Wi-Fi Skype handsets have finally arrived, both of which come with the popular VoIP application built in. This means you can make and receive free Skype calls whenever you're in a Wi-Fi hotspot (one that doesn't require a browser-based login). Both models are expensive, but the price is a onetime fee, unlike cell phones and their notorious contract fees. Unfortunately, each phone has significant flaws, and one of the phones is downright unusable in its present incarnation.
