Given how much attention the iPhone has received, you would think it was the first wireless device that offers media playback, Web browsing, and messaging all in one gadget. Some argue that the iPhone combines all of these features in such a way that everything else seems antiquated. But Apple's ubergizmo is hardly perfect. In fact, each of our alternatives offers at least one feature that the iPhone lacks, whether it's a true keyboard, 3G data connectivity, live TV, or a built-in FM transmitter. Oh, and all of our picks are more affordable, which means you'll have more cash left over for a data plan.
